Newton Software

Simulates the motion of planets and stars.

Gravitorium Pro

Rightword Enterprises

The prime purpose of Gravitorium is to let you play with ideas about gravity and gravitational systems. While it's not intended to be a highly accurate solar system simulator, at low speeds its accuracy is really pretty good. And, best of all, it lets you "play universe maker". Throw in a few extra planets, add a black hole, set a comet plunging towards the Earth! Or create an entirely new solar system from scratch.

A backup tool that can run as a screen saver

Clone

Newton Software

Clone allows you to backup your files. Clone can be run as either a screen saver or as a standard windows utility. Run as a screensave, clone backups up the data that is important to you while you take a break from your computer. This ensures you have a copy of your most important files backed up. Clone copies files from one location to another. This can be another hard disk, your CR-RW drive or any other media mapped to a drive or UNC path.

Solar System/Planetary bodies simulator

euphOrbit

Marek Jablonski

euphOrbit version 1.0 is a simple tool designed to simulate the motions of planetary bodies in space. The primary design philosophy of this program was that it had to simulate asteroids speeding through our Solar System close to "true life". Initial positions of planets and asteroids are computed using NASA orbital elements. The bodies are then plotted as they move according to the laws of gravitation.

A Solar System Construction Set

Newton's Aquarium

Living Graphs Inc.

Newton's Aquarium is an interactive physics package that helps students visualize and understand Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation. While creating and exploring their own solar systems, students encounter the core concepts in classical physics.
